Takin’ it to Their Turf
Free with any donation!

Takin’ it to Their Turf is a compilation of my favorite evangelistic experiences over the past 37 years. The Lord has given me lots of great stories that will inspire, encourage and edify you. Some of them will make you laugh; some are quite sobering. Most of the real-life encounters I describe will have a significant lesson you’ll appreciate regarding human nature and our relationship with God.

In Takin’ it to Their Turf, you’ll read about:
  • Worst sinner I ever led to Christ.
  • A homosexual man who thought God created him to go to hell, and what happened when he discovered otherwise.
  • The former president of a Pagan organization who was won to Christ through the Christian’s “secret weapon.”
  • One of my all-time greatest hecklers who was subdued by the prayer of a three-year-old.
  • How one professor inadvertently gave me my life slogan.
  • The Muslim who wanted to "Allahu Akbar" me.
  • My encounter with one of the nation’s most prolific pornographers.
  • The atheist who passed the “God-test” and a surprising twist that happened 25 years later.

I started writing Takin’ it to Their Turf over 15 years ago when a friend of mine told me, “Tom, you’re a storyteller, and you have such great stories to tell. You should write a book that tells your stories.”

For one reason or another, I didn’t get very far on the project.

This spring, I felt God leading me to finish this venture.

I’m so glad I did.

Recalling these stories has been deeply encouraging to me.

But I didn’t write this book for my sake.

I wrote it to encourage others to evangelize.

I wrote it for those who don’t think God is still moving in our world today.

I wrote it to encourage those who partner with and support my ministry.

Most of all, I wrote it to give God glory for what He has done.
